By Hannock Ngaru Entry into the New year was joyful and peaceful as serenity reverberated in the not so trusted Car wash area in Mfuleni, Cape Town South Africa. Fireworks blew, boomed and flashed the skies as many celebrated the mid - night hour mark that translated them from 2025 into 2026. Although, it was a number year change it ushered an unusual peaceful electric atmospheric environment that loaded the whole street with cars and thousands into the streets. The smell of different braaid meat filled the air and drinking lords danced to all genres of music in the tranquil environment. Car Wash area is known for violence physical and gun but this new season was different as hugs and smiles ushered people into a different start. Ladies competed in their best outfits and body shapes as they celebrated the new year in a free environment where they expressed themselves without fear or inferiority.
