Blackouts May Dwindle ANC Support Base

EFF Leader Julius Malema Addresses Supporters after protests on Loadshedding.

Excess load shedding schedule from Eskom nationwide in South Africa may have a negative impact on the support base of the ruling African National Congress as it riled Julius Malema and his EFF to get into the streets in protests a few weeks ago. The business community has been hit the most as employees are being forced to work extra hours to cover up for lost time through loadshedding. Media reports say Eskom has distanced itself from some of the bizzare loadshedding schedules that are being experienced in the country by citing municipalities as having control in some areas.

However, it is the Ramaphosa administration that may suffer the most as the loopholes in the electricity deficits might trigger more protests as opposition parties might use it as a political weapon to decampaign the most popular party in Africa. Electricity has been put on stage 6 this week with power being cut thrice a day from early morning, mid morning to early wee wee hours precisely two hours per segment. Inspite of the hullabaloo being caused by the power outages the electrical utility company is also under fire from staff which are calling for better wages through their Unions.
