100 Days Countdown To Netball World Cup

The Netball World Cup to be hosted in Africa for the first time clock tick down of 100 days began today in South Africa, Western Cape province, Cape Town at the Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC). The Netball tornament will begin on Friday 28 July to Sunday 6 August 2023. Girls from Langa and other sorrounding suburbs gathered at CTICC to mark the beginning of the countdown which mimicked the ecstatic nostalgia of the 2010 soccer World Cup which was hosted in Africa for the first time.  South Africa which has never won the World Cup having been runners up to Australia in 1995 and achieving a third place in 1967 hope to use hosting advantage to win the tournament.

 Africa will be represented by Zimbabwe, the hosts South Africa, Egypt, Malawi and Uganda. The Netball World Cup pools will be categorised as follows :- Pool A : Australia, Tonga, Zimbabwe, and Fiji. Pool B :- England, Malawi, Scotland, and Barbados. Pool C :- Jamaica, South Africa, Wales, and Sri Lanka. Pool D:- New Zealand, Uganda, Trinidad & Tobago and Singapore.
