Real Madrid Edge Chelsea

A brace from Brazilian star, Rodrygo in the 57th and 79th minute sailed Real Madrid past through Chelsea in the quarter - finals of the Champions' League played yesterday at Stamford Bridge in England.
The defending European Champions Real Madrid played well in a tightly contested match with the first assist coming from a Rodrygo rebound to Vinicious juniour who gave the former a second chance which he converted and the second goal was an assist from Velvede.

Despite, their wonderful performance, it was the crucial miss from French playmaker, N'golo Kante in the 10th minute of the first half that denied the well organized blues from registering on the score sheet.
However, Real Madrid's Courtous' stunning saves also made it a hurdle for the well assembled blues to score a consolation goal thereby elbowing them out of the Champion's league.
Inspite of ending on a losing side, interim coach, Frank Lampard had selected a formidable side which was quite unfortunate not to score.
Nonetheless, Real Madrid's 2 nil victory yesterday at Stamford Bridge yesterday brought their tally to a quad on aggregate after adding their 2 nil home win at Santiago Bernabeu giving them a ticket into the Semi - finals.
