Guardiola Deserves Greatest Manager Of All Time Title

Image
Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola has managed to grab the treble Championships, (FA Championship, English Premiership and UCL) this season, making him qualify to be named the greatest manager of all time. Pep has historically mentored, groomed and shaped players including the World best footballer of all time, Lionel Messi who is able to interchangeably switch positions simultaneously thereby deceiving defenders. Guardiola was able to win championships with big teams like Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester City. This is a feat that he has achieved through being able to transform players to play according to the attacking strategies that he formulates. Such kind of coaching techniques enables the coach to be able to depend on his team rather than star players. In his current Ethihad squad he has nurtured more than three playmakers as examplified by De Bryune and Gundugan thereby forming a formidable and difficult side to beat and a forward goal scoring team. The teams that hav

Mbappe Topical As World Clubs Restructure

Image
France's Captain and Paris Saint - Germain (PSG) forward, Kylian Mbappe seems to be the only player in the World that can change the strength of any club team in the coming 2023/2024 season as highlighted by media reports. Coaches and Clubs have been restructuring and strengthening their squads to perform better this coming next season. Liverpool team which finished on the fifth position on the recent 2022/2023 English Premiership League are rumoured to be interested in the French man whom they might likely be wrestled against by Real Madrid who are prepared to spend a whooping 250 million Euros. However, given the stingy record of Liverpool which made them part with Senegalese player Sadio Mane they might easily be defeated in the Mbappe money contest. Mbappe's mother, Fayza Lamari has great love for Liverpool and might be behind pushing her son to move to Anfield. It is now clear that PSG are eager to let the player go for millions rather than letting him go on a free transfe

Biti Useless In Parliament

Image
Opinion A fact that triple C (Citizens Coalition for Change) leader, Mr Nelson Chamisa correlated was that his deputy,  Tendai  Biti was irrelevant in Parliament of Zimbabwe as it ceased to be a viral platform that could not be juxtaposed to the South African Parliament which can effect changes due to its practicability. The powers that be have the majority in Parliament and could probably direct the country were they see fit an attribution that can be alluded to the African socialist platform which former President Robert Mugabe was an astute student of. In socialism a leader(s) direct the people and not the other way round. If we recede back in time you would not tell Changamire Dombo of The Rozvi people (Zimbabwe's ancestoral leaders) what to do but he would tell his people the direction to take. In other words Biti's perspective is therefore not needed especially with the mindset of the African historical leadership that the powers that be have aligned the political system

Religion: The Relevance Of Jesus Today

Image
With Hannock Ngaru  If anyone would want to talk about God today they have to include the historical Jesus and presence of the Holy Spirit who is in the World  today. The scripture is also an intergral reference that vividly articulates the reality of the Godhead and guides humanity to learn more about Him. Jesus as a person would enter the Synagogue, where doctors of the Law who studied about him but ignorantly missed his position during their time: open the book of the Law and would say this Word/Law has been fulfilled in your hearing referring to himself which would push the blinded learned men to try and stone him to death without much success though. "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” 22 So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?” (Luke 4.21, NKJV). This scripture is an epitome of the legendary Jesus who was part of the incarnated God who lived as a Jew but introd

Water Logging, Damps Farms In Cape Town

Image
The wet, cold winters' spell has dampened farms in the Western Cape province in Cape Town South Africa as most of the crops especially in the market gardening zone have been shattered by water logging. In Farms around Philipi today, farm managers were struggling to sell cash crop vegetables as they had been disturbed by the rains which characterise the winters this season. Most buyers were complaining of too much sand on vegetables, carrots and on other fresh produce from the farm that threatened to deter their retail businesses. Even though, water logging might be of concern the water table has risen to avert previous droughts that normally hit Cape Town.

SA Economy On The Mend

Image
Analysis South African market forces point to a mending economy due to several market indicators that have turned on a green light from an amber light that was flashing preparing to hit the red zone that signaled a plunge into recession. The dwindling of fuel prices which had soared is one of the quickest market indicators that signaled a stabilising economy which seemed to have slipped out of the State's control. Fuel especially petrol's price tag was slowly getting out of hand and affected the prices of daily necessities like bread. Petrol prices fell from around R22.30 to around R21.90 which is a good indication since it is quite unexpected to have a drop in fuel prices. Furthermore, another indicator that put Mzansi into the economic green zone is the availability of electricity which has powered the industrial zone which decried the loadshedding that was taking place even though, the expenditure has been passed on to the  consumers through the hiking of tarrifs. Although,

Image
Welcome to the first segment on the column, Night Spots whereby thegazee magazine will explore and give a detailed narrative on nightspot areas all over Southern Africa and beyond if necessary. Tonight we start with night life in South Africa's Legislative and Tourism Capital, Cape Town. Thegazee reviews Tiffany night bar in one of Cape Town's leafiest and quietest suburbs. The place is very quiet and located in Voortrekker main road and has all the necessary peaceful environments to spend one's money and quality time. Tiffany has no place for violence and is a middle class bar obviously that deserves those who work hard to spend their time without disturbances. It has different categories depending with the taste of revellers who would have visited. The main room is well decorated and designed to accommodate those who consume different types of alcohol and has got a pool table to entertain those who enjoy it. It is sub - divided into a bar room with a television to enterta

Mai Titi's Dirty Linen Still Hangs in Public

Image
Felistas Murata well known as Mai Titi continues to headline the media for the wrong reasons as woes continue to mount on her. The Zimbabwean social media comedian is at the centre of a fraud case according to media reports and social media. Mai Titi it is said has been dragged to court for failing to pay for the services of a vehicle she hired which had attracted a sum of USD 10 000. An amount she unfortunately cannot afford to pay and is at the centre of the courts which are yet to decide on her fate. Her case still holds comical effects as her pleas to be exonerated are a misnomer if found guilty as charged. She is recorded as pleading for mercy as a first offender, that she has children and unveiled her HIV status. However, Mai Titi remains a Zimbabwean caricature whose allegorical folklore will continue to bring comic relief to her country mates in their dire times.

Religion: Forgiveness & Love

Image
I welcome you to yet another edition on the column of Religion which is quite wide and big however, I am still focusing on an encompassing topical godly slant that most people hide in.  This topic is the essence of the Godhead which drove God to give his only begotten Son so that he would reconcile Himself with the World that would believe in him (Son). Anyone who attaches himself to godliness is obligated to be encapsulated in Love and has to Forgive. Love and Forgiveness are an oxygen tank to the gods (those who believe in the Son of God, Psalms 82). This is what most people fail to understand and to grasp. According to the bible, " If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother he is a liar : for he that loveth not his brother he hath seen, how  can he love God who he hath not seen?" 1 John 4.20  (KJV). The Devil has taken it upon himself to snare and blind many individuals by burning them with hate and keeping a record of wrongs thereby inflicting them with diseases and

Man City Wins UCL Title

Image
In a hard fought encounter tonight at Ataturk stadium, Instabul, Turkey, Manchester City defeated Inter Milan to win the UEFA Champions' League match which was there only accolade that was left to put in their bag of Championship titles. Man City won by a goal to nil which was scored by the Spanish defensive midfielder Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante in the 68th minute of the second half of the match. Manchester City had never won the UCL Championship before and it was their first time to become Champions of Europe which did not come on a silver platter but they worked hard for it after passing through their major inhibition Real Madrid 5 - 1 on aggregate in the Semi - Final at Etihad stadium. It was as obvious at it sounded that they would sail through basing on their form but today's match on practical level did not exhibit what was on paper or on assumptions by supporters. However, City who lost Kevin De Bryune through injury and had to be replaced by Phil Foden soldeired on to b

Road Carnage Must Be Managed By Drivers

Image
Drivers should take responsibility when they embark on their various destinations on the roads and value the sanctity of life. A fortnight ago several people perished in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, South Africa after a Bakkie collided with a taxi that was carrying passengers and media reports recorded the death of five school children who were on board which was a very sad development and such disasters must continue to be put on record to caution drivers to remember that the whole idea is to preserve life and arrive safely to your intended destination. It is clear that once an engine of a vehicle idles it should only be switched off on arrival. The story of the Mitchell's Plain disaster succinctly encapsulates the consequences of reckless driving and the pain inflicted on the families of the school children who were unable to go back home. Not only did it end with Mitchell's Plain but the death of a little child (name supplied) in Tembisa and those injured from the fight chase

Man City Close To Be UCL Champions

Image
Although, it is not possible to conclude on a pre - match outcome a supposition can be posited that Manchester City who bask in the glory of being crowned English Champions may complete the circuit if they defeat Italian club Inter Milan. The two teams, meet tomorrow in the Final match of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) to be played tomorrow at Ataturk Stadium in Instabul, Turkey at 2100 hours. It will be the 68th season of Europe Premier club tournament by UEFA since it's renaming. Man City's Guardiola will probably put his best side as he seeks to bag this accolade that has eluded him for seasons and he is on record that he would resign if he wins it with City. However, football is always a Sport of surprises and a team like Inter Milan may not be easily under estimated as it has gone through the stages to reach the finals especially by urging out rivals, AC Milan at San Siro stadium in Italy in the build up to the finals. Man City took out the best, Real Madrid at Etihad s

Tyson Has Nothing To Offer To Zim

Image
Opinion  The return of Saviour "Tyson" Kasukuwere into Zimbabwean politics is just a proverbial allegory folklore that remains in the history records of Zimbabwean politics and can only be recited to those who missed the contemporarity attached to it. Tyson is a remnant of the ZANU PF G40 faction that was deposed along side the legendary Zimbabwean fallen leader, the late Robert Gabriel Mugabe. He had to flee down South alongside Jonathan Moyo, Walter Muzembi, Patrick Zhuwao and e.t.c. from the second Republic as it is affectionately called. Tyson bounces back to stand in the Presidential challenge race scheduled for this August and will square off with incumbent President, Emmerson D. Mnangagwa and Zimbabwe's main opposition leader Triple C's Nelson Chamisa. Tyson party is called New Alliance Zimbabwe and consists of people who have failed before like Nkosana Moyo. Perchance, he would get a small portion of voters that come with the Mugabe name as his relatives like

Real Madrid Embarks On A Rebuilding Spree

Image
It is obvious that a rich and influencial club in Spain like, Santiago Bernabeu's Real Madrid would move in to rebuild and inject new blood when they fail to win a championship race like the UEFA Champions' League (UCL). Iconic and charismatic Captain, Karim Benzema played his final match during the weekend marking his exit from active and viral international football. The 35 - year - old retired French international heads to Saudi Arabian club, Alttihad : joining his former teammate at Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo. He is set to earn millions  and has the new club as his retirement package. The French man was on a losing side that faced a rejuvenated and determined Manchester City. However, Benzema is not the only one that is leaving as Vinicious Juniour, Hazard, Luca Modric are also set to leave as well. Real Madrid hope on cashing in on French man, Killian Mbappe who feels he is not being appreciated at his current club PSG which is also facing a mass exodus of it's be

A Ravel of Economic Zones in SA & Zim

Image
Time continue to excelerate especially this winter season as loadshedding acts as it's catalyst with citizens in South Africa and it's neighbour to the north, Zimbabwe are quickly forced to resign to bed. Although, the business community has strategised measures like even working during wee hours still the exhaustion goes back to individuals who are in action. Cape Town still experience unique cool wet winters with drizzle/precipitation highly expected to be experienced this week. The construction industry is affected the most as workers dilly - dally with the rains that characterise the winter season. However, in some parts of South Africa like Johannesburg it's only cool dry winters with temperatures dropping drastically. More so, politically the economy is slowly calming down as the wave of controversies that shook the market die down. In Zimbabwe, the set election dates for August have riled the economy into the abyss as a lot of legislature has been enacted and has sai

Electricity Restoration Starts Fire In Cape Town Flate

Image
Cape Town, South Africa - A flat in Kensington suburb in fifth street Avenue caught fire when electricity was restored yesterday afternoon with witnesses saying electrical gadgets were left on. The Gaze Magazine reporter was on the scene and interviewed witnesses. "The fire began through an electrical iron which was forgotten on the plug when scheduled loadshedding took place. But when electricity was restored the iron exploded which caused the fire to start, " said a witness who spoke on condition of anonymity. Fire brigade managed to put down the fire and brought things to normalcy. However, The Gaze was unable to get entrance into the flat because it was private property and under guard.

Mai Titi Refuses To Speak Out On Nudes

Image
Controversial Zimbabwean comedian, Mai Titi who is at a high level comic nudity scandal refused to speak to The Gaze Magazine yesterday when given a chance to give her side of the story pertaining her flooding social media in nude pics. She ignored a list of questions that we send her on her what's app message. It can be asserted that there is no - one who might be behind the leaking of her not so appetising birthday suit pics splashed on social media the day before yesterday. Media reports say her perceived ex - husband has vehemently denied any connection with the leaked snaps as he commented from his United States base. He argued that they never took each other nude pics and if it were so then Mai Titi would also publish his in retaliation. However, Mai Titi going quiet on the issue and ignoring media outlets raises a lot of eyebrows.
