Electricity Restoration Starts Fire In Cape Town Flate

Cape Town, South Africa - A flat in Kensington suburb in fifth street Avenue caught fire when electricity was restored yesterday afternoon with witnesses saying electrical gadgets were left on. The Gaze Magazine reporter was on the scene and interviewed witnesses. "The fire began through an electrical iron which was forgotten on the plug when scheduled loadshedding took place. But when electricity was restored the iron exploded which caused the fire to start, " said a witness who spoke on condition of anonymity. Fire brigade managed to put down the fire and brought things to normalcy. However, The Gaze was unable to get entrance into the flat because it was private property and under guard.
