US Arms Claims On SA To Russia Lacks Substance

Media reports are topical with assertions posited by United States Ambassador, Rueben Brigety 2 that Pretoria supplied The Federation of Russia with ammunition and weapons to aid it's aggression on Ukraine which has recorded an anniversary a few days ago. Allegations were based on suppositions that a Russian ship: Lady R was on the shores of Simon's naval base in SA's Legislative capital, Cape Town and was loaded with ammunition and weapons around December last year a claim that SA leaders vehemently deny. Media reports further stated that Brigety was approached by the SA international relations ministry to substantiate his claim which saw him make a u - turn to apologise. However, ambassador Brigety's suspicions had done damage as was vividly shown by the fall - out of the Rand to the Greenback. The value of the Rand dwindled drastically based on Brigety's suppositions. Nevertheless, even Julius Malema leader of the EFF, a strong critic of the Ramaphosa' s administration did not side with the US but rather demanded clarity of such assertions. If sanctions were to be extended to SA it was going to be difficult for an already destabilizing economy.
